The research leading to these results has received funding from the European Union's European Atomic Energy Community's (Euratom) Seventh Framework Programme FP7/2007-2013 under grant agreement no 323273, the DOPAS project.


DOPAS 2016 Seminar gathers experts widely

Over 100 participants from 50 different organisations around the world participated to the DOPAS 2016 seminar, which was arranged in Turku, Finland in the end of May 2016. The DOPAS 2016 seminar material are available at DOPAS 2016 pages.




New year has started for DOPAS project as well.

The project is working with compilation of data and reports and all of them will be published during this year!

DOPAS 2016 seminar has received plenty of abstracts and tentative programme is now available under DOPAS 2016 pages.

DOPAS Project

Fourteen nuclear waste management organisations and research institutes from eight European countries are participating in a technology development project for testing plugging and sealing systems for geological disposal facilities for radioactive waste - the DOPAS project ("Full-Scale Demonstration Of Plugs And Seals"). The project is built around a set of full-scale underground demonstrations, laboratory experiments, and performance assessment studies.
