Biosfääritutkimukset
Biosfäärillä tarkoitetaan maapallon pinnan osaa, jossa elämä on mahdollista. Loppusijoituksen pitkäaikaisturvallisuuden varmistamiseksi Olkiluodossa on tehty biosfääritutkimusta ja erilaisia mallinnuksia pitkälle tulevaisuuteen siitä lähtien, kun Olkiluoto varmistui käytetyn ydinpolttoaineen sijoituspaikaksi.
